About
Afrooz Balaghi is a sculptor whose track record includes a 30-metre public monument in Shiraz, a 5.8-metre stainless steel work exhibited at the International Sculpture Symposium in Romania, and hyper-real silicone figures for institutional and cultural clients. Her practice spans bronze, steel, silicone, fibreglass, gypsum and mixed media — with command of the full arc of sculpture production.
Her technical expertise covers concept development, modelling, mould-making, lost-wax casting, wax work, foundry collaboration, patination, surface finishing, metalwork and large-scale fabrication. Now based in Melbourne, she is actively accepting commissions for public art, bronze sculpture, portrait and commemorative works, architectural installations, and hyper-real fabrication.

The Douran Monument — 30 metres tall, 15 metres wide, 12 metres deep — represents the upper range of Afrooz's public and large-scale capability. Projects at this scale require command of structural requirements, fabrication management, surface finishing, transport logistics and site installation.
Works can involve concept development, scale modelling, fabrication collaboration, patination or surface treatment, transport and installation support. Afrooz's international experience positions her for major public art briefs in Australia at architectural and civic scale.
